USS Constitution, known as "Old Ironsides," is a wooden-hulled, three-masted heavy frigate of the United States Navy. Named after the United States Constitution, she is the oldest commissioned ship afloat in the world. The Constitution was one of the six original frigates authorized for construction by the Naval Act of 1794 and was launched in 1797.

The dreadnought was the predominant type of battleship of the 20th century. The revolutionary HMS Dreadnought of 1906 adopted an 'all-big-gun' armament and steam turbine propulsion; her impact was so great that battleships built after her were referred to as 'dreadnoughts' and earlier battleships became known as pre-dreadnoughts. The Dreadnought was the standard by which all other battleships were based. The only other major advance in kind was the US Navy design with all main turrets on the centerline of the ship.
Good Fortune was one of three pirate ships commanded by the famous brigand, Bartholomew Roberts. He is better known today as “Black Bart.” Our namesake’s main accomplishment was to singlehandedly stop the commerce between ships of the Spanish Main in the 1700s He did this by being nimble and ruthlessly unemotional about his business. While we do not share Capt. Roberts’ obsession with illegal seizure and expropriation of other’s wealth, we do embrace his spirit of independence and objectivity while seeing his cargo through to a profitable end.
Kon-Tiki was the raft used by Norwegian explorer and writer Thor Heyerdahl in his 1947 expedition across the Pacific Ocean from South America to the Polynesian islands. It was named after the Inca sun god, Viracocha, for whom "Kon-Tiki" was said to be an old name. Bill Knox was rumored to want the team name, so team Kon Tiki grabbed it!
Victoria was the first ship to fully circumnavigate the world. The voyage, which began from Spain in 1519, was led by Ferdinand Magellan and was accompanied by four other ships. Of this fleet of five, the Victoria was the only surviving ship. This ship's name appealed to our team’s sense of adventure and interest in exploring the best for our clients.
